Data Analyst • Business Intelligence • Reporting Analyst
Dhruv Shah
I build clean, automated reports and interactive dashboards that turn raw data into decisions. I specialize in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau — with a focus on reporting clarity, performance metrics, and business impact.
About Me
Hello, I'm Dhruv
I'm a data analyst who loves building dashboards, reports, and data workflows that help teams make faster decisions. I enjoy working across the full stack of analytics — from SQL queries and data cleaning to polished visualizations in Power BI and Tableau.
My flagship project, F1-InsightX, is a live analytics app that explores Formula 1 telemetry, race strategy, and performance data. It reflects how I approach data storytelling: rigorous on the backend, clear on the frontend.
I also contribute to open source, mostly around SQL-related issues, query documentation, and data tooling. I care about reproducible analysis, clean schemas, and reports that actually get used.
I'm actively looking for roles in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting analysis.
Experience
Where I've Worked
- Modeled relational data for completion records, reward events, and user achievements, enabling cleaner reporting and downstream KPI analytics workflows across user activity data.
- Improved business-rule consistency by reducing duplicate validation logic by 25% across reward eligibility, activity gating, reporting-ready event data, and audit checks.
- Supported business analysis by translating product rules into validated data models for achievement and rewards reporting.
- Reduced manual analysis time by 30% by developing ETL workflows to ingest, preprocess, transform, and visualize large-scale research datasets for reporting and review.
- Improved experimentation cycle time by 20% by building configurable analytics modules with parameterized weighting logic, repeatable preprocessing, and validation checks.
- Produced research insights through dashboards and visualizations for data consistency, trend analysis, analytical review, and stakeholder-ready summaries.
- Reduced manual data processing by 30% by building Python pipelines to clean, transform, and standardize multi-sheet WHO datasets across HIV, TB, and NTD research.
- Developed disease impact models using DALYs, treatment coverage, and drug efficacy inputs to support year-over-year health outcome comparisons across countries.
- Improved research reproducibility by optimizing spreadsheet-to-Python workflows for impact score computation, academic reporting, and faculty review.
- Helped save approximately $5,000 in manual reporting effort by automating production and inventory reports with MySQL queries, Python, Excel templates, and scheduled files.
- Improved reporting quality by cleaning, validating, and transforming production, inventory, and machine utilization data for KPI analysis and operational trend review.
- Supported management decisions with KPI dashboards for production trends, inventory performance, machine utilization reporting, and weekly operations reviews.
